I was fortunate enough to be born and raised in Santa Monica, California surrounded by the beauty of the Santa Monica Mountains and the spectacular Pacific Ocean and Seashore. Growing up I spent much of my time at the beaches, and hiking and sightseeing in the mountains with my family and friends. After my daughter was raised and I was retired, I was able to pursue capturing the beauty of these mountains, seashore and the rest of our amazing country through my paintings.
I am an award-winning artist, and I belong to the Pastel Society of Southern California, Destination:Art and Allied Artists of the Santa Monica Mountains and Seashore. I have studied under Joe Mancuso and Fran Nichols. I have also attended many workshops, including Richard McKinley, Alain Picard and Lavone Sterling. Attending the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS) Convention 2017 this summer in Albuquerque, I went to demonstrations and attended several workshops including Jeannie Rosier Smith, Kathleen Newman and Rae Smith.
My goal is to capture the beauty of our world through paintings and share them with others.
